learn vocabulary for discussing the family.write the word family on the board. then write the words mother and father around the circle.In pairs brainstorm students words for family members and make a list.Then they compare list with another  pair.Go around the class and note the wolrds on their lists.

Introducción

In unit 5, students discuss families, typical families,and familiy life.In cycle 1 . they talk about their own and other families using the present continuos.In cycle 2 , they discuss facts about families using quantifiers.

Tarea

Ask students to bring pictures of their family.Students show each other family photos in small groups. encourage them to add two pieces of informationfor each photo.(e,g,,This is my brother.He`s27, and he`s a lawyer.)

EXPLAIN THE TASK.sTUDENTS DRAW THEIR FAMILY TREE INDIVIDUALLY. pOINT OUT THAT  SINGLE STUDENTS CAN INCLUDE THEIR GRAND PARENTS PARENTS, BROTHER, AND SISTERS, WHILE MARRIEDSTUDENTS CAN INCLUDE THEIR HUSBAND OR WIFE , CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN

 

  1. Look at Sam`s famiy tree. How are these people related to him?

Add these word to the family tree.

  1. Draw your family tree (or a friend family tree). Then take turns talking about your families. Ask follow-up question to get more information.
